I practice easel painting and textile art; I use upcycling of paper and other materials, incorporating them into the structure of the image. My works sit at the intersection of realism, abstraction and metaphysical reflection. In practice I explore relations of matter, form and colour: I juxtapose gesture with geometry, flat colour fields with texture, and at times draw on the symbolism of colours and forms. The result ranges from hushed to more expressive compositions — sometimes guided by plan and precision, at other times by a spontaneous gesture and a noticed and respected element of chance.
