JOLA WÓJCIK

For as long as I can remember, I have loved drawing and painting, as well as all art activities. I also wanted to become a fashion designer. Choosing the path of education, I did not decide to go to art school, but in high school I started attending professional drawing and painting lessons, because I felt that I wanted to follow what was really playing in my soul. After high school, I went to the School of Artistic Fashion Design in Krakow. It was an amazing time, rich in experiences and artistic development. The next step to spread my wings was Artistic Education at the Faculty of Art of the Pedagogical University in Krakow, which ended with graphic design - which I am currently doing.
I love nature and people. I have always loved dancing, and I have been practicing yoga for several years. I create my paintings in my spare time, but I would like to be able to devote myself to it without limits in the future.

Since I was a child, I was a person who reacted expressively to the world around me. I think it was my destiny to express myself in the way I had been looking for over the years. During my studies, I did a lot of painting, drawing and sculpting works. I experimented by mixing techniques, I was looking for my own way of expressing myself. After graduation, I started to create bolder, more imaginative oil paintings or abstractions with tempera and ink.
4 years ago I decided to try my hand at watercolors and ink. I fell in love ... This is how many free, sometimes intricate, sometimes random, but also playful variations in this technique were created. But I kept looking. Another challenge for me was acrylic paint. A few more illustrative pictures were created. Now I have come back to watercolors, but in a slightly different style, more 'dense', expressive. Sometimes I also mix watercolors with acrylic and ink.
When I create, I usually have a vision in my imagination, often based on current experiences, emotions, feelings and the world around me. Sometimes it is also possible to work from a previously sketched idea quickly. I love this state when the vision is poured onto paper. I love it when the image is created spontaneously and the effect sometimes surprises even me.
I have been dreaming about my own exhibition for a long time. I would like to share a piece of my soul with the world, simply.
