Earlier my Works were dominated by landscapes and still lifes, densely painted in oil, with a free patch of paint, intense, tasteful colours. Now I represents modern art – abstrakt. My Works are inspired by nature. Every one of my paintings resembles an inward journey narrated in colours, lights, transparencies and a geometry of abstrakt reality. I create, look and experiment.

“(…) closer attention should be paid to the colouring of the paintings – the transposition of the Author’s feelings, filtered through the intellect, gains the taste of true visions. They are dominated by saturated colours, sometimes contrasted with achromatic planes or bright pastel smudges. In such cases, the light magically shows not objects and shapes of form but  colour tone and saturation scales. The effect of a clear and deep colour is often achieved by sophisticated glazing and the application of imprimiture, which create the impression of immateriality of presented forms.(…)
Building subtle colour contrasts, opposing the sense of form solidity, closing the central parts with framing are not only purely formal measures but also a strategy of developing artistic identity, where a dominating role seems to be played by techne raised to the level of artistic necessity.”

'Ela Owczarek enfolds her world with a calm light. Her Works whisper with voice full of tenderness and couriousity about the world. They are friendly to nature and her surprising incarnations, with whom the artist seems to identify without borders. She speaks of them „WE” not - they and myself. This is the Message, behind which in today’s vibrating, full of questions and uncertainty world, i sorely miss. And for that message I (we?) need to thank her.”
