Dorothy Iannone. This Sweetness Outside of Time

Since the sixties she was fighting with her art for free love and autonomy of female sexuality. And she continues to follow her inner voice of artistic creation.
Passionate, delighted, sexual visions of love are definitely her most preferred themes.
Iannone was very often criticized for her radical and uncompromised postures about total, intellectual and sexual, liberation of women. She was even accused of spreading pornography.
Works of the artist shows the union between woman and man. This union is full of mysticism, which brings up the physical and spiritual unity of lovers. When creating her graphical world Lannon takes inspiration from Eastern religions, especially Tibetan Buddhism, Indian Tantra and the Baroque, ecstatic Christian traditions.
The aim of the exhibition is to show all aspects of Iannone creations. Among the exhibits we can see, read and listen. All these elements show us the radical and subjective attitude of the artist.
